I'm excited to find a place where my work can actually get some feedback. It's so difficult showing work I am proud of to friends and family only to have them give me little criticism either because of lack of interest or lack of effort.

Poetry especially just seems like such a waste if you can't share it with others. To turn pain into something productive is difficult in the first place. If it sits on the shelf covered in dust then it really isn't productive, is it?

My first submission is in no way a good representative of the type or style of poetry I write. I'm simply going in alphabetic order because I hate being unorganized.
